There is a reason why the subtitle of this blog mentions “chaos”–our family has an odd history of periodic descents into chaos. Our latest round arrived abruptly at the beginning of April. A new puppy, increasing dementia in a parent, increasing seizures in a child, re-roofing the house, a violent crime, emergency rooms, unpleasant interactions with the police, anxiety attacks, depression: it all hit at the same time. I had just finished the series of posts on autism and intelligence, and was about to start a new series on autism and emotion when disaster struck and kept on striking. So I haven’t written anything in a while. But the tide seems to be turning (knock on wood), so I hope to be back to fairly regular posts soon. Thanks to everyone who has been supportive.
